Wasting her seat in Congress
As you may have read, Rep. Marilyn Musgrave has shown once again how out of touch he is with her district. (Musgrave steps back into gay marriage debate, Fort Collins Coloradoan, 7/1/2008) While her constituents are focused on the economy and other critical problems, Marilyn Musgrave is once again wasting her seat in Congress--and our taxpayer dollars--on the same old divisive issues.
Musgrave's attempt to change the U.S. Constitution is just the latest in a pattern. In 2006, Musgrave went on national television and claimed "I don't think there's anything more important out there than the marriage issue." (C-Span, 9/22/2006)
Oh really?
What about the declining economy? Larimer and Weld Counties, in Musgrave's district, have one of the highest foreclosure rates in the country.
What about families who don't have health care? Over 100,000 constituents in Musgrave's district don't have health insurance.
What about rising oil and gas prices?
